I think we might have a problem!

Comfort object, I know....but really! Kylee is almost 2 and her want and need for a pacifier aka "sucky" has been increasing ten folds each month. Any advice???

I don't know if you are wanting to get rid of her binkie. If you are, the best way we found was just throwing the binkies away altogether so you aren't tempted to get them out again. The first day and maybe the second will most likely be rough days, but after that she should be fine. Mara was a binkie lover, but once we took them away, it was so nice because we didn't have to worry about keeping track of them.

I know you don't know me but I know Jeremy from Bear Lake. Anyways my boys just gave there binkie up but my sister had a little girl with the same problem and when she decided to get rid of it she cut the nipple part off and gave it back to her and told her it was broken. It worked really well cuz she saw that it wasn't the same and didn't see it as mommy took it away. good luck.

Cut every nipple off each one and put them in her bed. And one by one she will throw them and be mad but she will soon get over it! Good luck

We did the cold turkey method with Chase but waited until he was 3! Yes, I was one of those Moms!

I just think the picture is adorable. What a little spaz! Eli never took a binkie so I cannot help you. Hey, are you guys going home for Christmas? We need to plan a big get together.

I don't have any advice because I'm just a new mom, but I just wanted to tell you that we think your little girl is adorable!!

We got rid of Xander's beloved binkie right before he turned two. I took all of them and cut all of the nipples off and let him throw them away. It was a little tough for a few days during naptime, so I switched things up for a while. We would lay on my bed and read three books and then I would roll over and ignore him until he fell asleep. It worked pretty well, plus I usually fell asleep too, so I got a nap!

Hey Andrea it's Alisha. Jeremey's adopted sister. (buck's sister) Halle was a binkie lover too. I did the cold turkey method. I thought I wasn't going to be able to do it, but she was much better than I thought. I told her that she needed to be a big girl like mom every time she asked. Come to find out she really could live without it. There were a few crying moments, but just for a few days. Definetley get rid of them so you're not tempted to give in. Good luck. Alisha

I think she is just absolutely adorable! She looks like she is really happy with herself. And I think she knows that you are trying to get rid of it so she is going to want it even harder. All I can say is good luck. All the boys threw theirs away at 4 months to the month without me even trying so I really lucked out.

Hey Andrea, it's Katie. I didn'y have the binky problem but I did have the bottle problem. I'd say just go cold turkey. It's only bad for a few days, then life is much easier. If you ever come back let me know, I'd love to see you. Even if I have to make the big drive from Soda to Bear Lake.
